What’s New is a recap of what Movemint’s been up to in the past month, including feature highlights and spotlight events. In case you missed it, you can check out our What’s New blog post from last month.
Feature Highlights
Feature Highlights are some new features we released on Movemint this past month, plus new updates to existing features.
New Feature: Dashboards
Organizer Dashboard
Manage your events all in one place! The organizer dashboard is your home to manage all of your events. See metrics about your signups, donations, merch, and more with easy access to your full event admin pages. You can also manage your Stripe payment accounts and get support.
Athlete Dashboard
Manage your registrations! See all of your events, transfer your bib, connect your Strava or Ride with GPS, and update your athlete information.
New Feature: Merchandise
Add swag to your event! Let athletes remember your event by offering merchandise to commemorate their experience.
New Feature: Transfer Registration
Allow athletes to transfer their registrations! Organizers can enable transfers under Registration Info in Edit Event then they can set an end date for registration transfers.
Once registration transfers are enabled, registered athletes will see a Transfer Registration button for the event in their Athlete Dashboard that will allow them to send one transfer invite by email.
Feature Update: Registration Detail Cards
The registration section on event pages has a new look! Athletes can see some important context before registering in a new card format, including a price increase countdown, date, and time.
Company Updates
Company Updates keep you informed with Movemint’s latest news, future plans, milestones, and more.
California’s False Advertising Law SB-478
Beginning July 1, Movemint and the fellow companies in our industry must include service fees in registration and merchandise prices for events in California. That means that, for example, if your event price is $50, the price shown to customers will be $54 to account for our $4 service fee. Nothing will change with how money is transferred on our platform — it’s simply a display change.
The good news is that Movemint’s service fees are already low, so these pricing display changes won’t be as large as on other platforms. There is no action required for California organizers — we will programmatically ensure that all of your events are compliant.
Spotlight Events
Spotlight Events showcase the Movemint team’s monthly picks for you to draw inspiration for your next event.
Headlands 27K
The Headlands 27k, part of the Golden Trail World Series, is a trail race featuring many of the Marin Headlands’ and Mt. Tam’s most historic trails. Boasting roughly 4,000-feet of elevation gain and descent, this 27k in September is not for the faint of heart.
2024 Boston Hispanic & Latino 5K
The Hispanic & Latino 5K is a community run that celebrates Hispanic and Latino Heritage Month, creates a safe and welcoming space for Hispanic and Latino runners, and raises funds and awareness for local Hispanic and Latino nonprofit organizations.
Movemint is Built by Athletes for Athletes
We’re a group of passionate endurance athletes. We were tired of using clunky registration tools that failed to capture the energy of race day. So we decided to build Movemint and are excited to share it with you. We’re constantly building. Please reach out with feature requests and feedback.
